Outside the County

Crested Tit at Loch Morlich, 24th March 2006Outside the County birdwatching, normally involves chasing a rarity or perhaps a local speciality such as geese, cranes and harriers in Norfolk or perhaps eagles in the highlands of Scotland.

Day Trips normally involve visits to locations in either Dumfries & Galloway, Northumberland, Holy Island, Aberlady Bay, Leighton Moss, Martin Mere & Blacktoft Sands. Areas that are further than 400 miles often involve an overnight stay.

Weekend Breaks or Overnight Stays to locations such as Norfolk, Dumfries, Cairngorms, Mull & Islay takes place when time allows. No need to explain the species to be found, but every trip provides me with excellent birdwatching and a nice change of scenery.
